How to replace the I/O Module on a Optiplex Micro 3090

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the I/O Module and a Optiplex Micro 3090. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the system.

Slide and lift the side cover off the system.

I/O Module

Identify the I/O module highlighted in blue.

Remove the screws that secure the I/O module to the system.

Disconnect the I/O module cable from its connector on the system board.

Slide and lift the I/O module from the system.

Install

I/O Module

Identify the I/O module location highlighted in blue.

Slide and install the I/O module into the slot on the system.

Connect the I/O module cable to its connector on the system board.

Install the screws that secure the I/O module to the system.

Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Place and slide the side cover towards the back of the system.

Tighten the thumb screw that secure the side cover to the system.
