How to replace the Solid State Drive (SSD) 2230 on a OptiPlex AIOPlus7410

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Solid State Drive (SSD) 2230 and a OptiPlex AIOPlus7410. The procedure will also include removing the Stand, Back Cover, System Board Shield, I/O Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Stand

Identify the stand highlighted in blue.

Press and hold down on the tab that secures the stand to the display assembly base.

Slide and lift the stand off the display assembly base.

Back Cover

Identify the back cover highlighted in blue.

Press down on the tab and slide the back cover to release.

Lift the back cover off the display assembly base.

System Board Shield

Identify the system board shield highlighted in blue.

Remove the screws that secure the system board shield to the display assembly base.

Lift the system board shield off the display assembly base.

I/O Cover

Identify the I/O cover highlighted in blue.

Remove the screws that secure the I/O cover to the display assembly base.

Lift the I/O cover off the display assembly base.

Solid State Drive (SSD) 2230

Identify the solid state drive (SSD) highlighted in blue.

Remove the screw that secures the SSD to the system board.

Slide and lift the SSD from the slot on the system board.

Install

Solid State Drive (SSD) 2230

Identify the solid state drive (SSD) location highlighted in blue.

Align the notch on the SSD with the tab on the slot and slide the SSD into the slot on the system board.

Install the screw to secures the SSD to the system board.

I/O Cover

Identify the I/O cover location highlighted in blue.

Align the I/O slots with the I/O ports, then place the I/O cover on the display assembly base and align with screw holes.

Install the screws that secure the I/O cover to the display assembly base.

System Board Shield

Identify the system board shield location highlighted in blue.

Place the system board shield on the display assembly base and align with screw holes.

Install the screws that secure the system board shield to the display assembly base.

Back Cover

Identify the back cover location highlighted in blue.

Align the back cover to the display assembly base.

Place and slide the back cover into place on the display assembly base.

Stand

Identify the stand location highlighted in blue.

At an angle, align the tabs on the stand with the slots on the display assembly base.

Slide the stand into place into the slot on the display assembly base.
