How to replace the Solid State Drive 2230 - Internal on a Precision 7875 Tower

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Solid State Drive 2230 - Internal and a Precision 7875 Tower. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover, Air Shroud, SSD Heat, SSD and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
2. Unlock the side panel latch using a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Press to open the latch of the side cover. Pull the release latch to release the side cover from the chassis.
4. Open the side cover at an angle and lift the cover away from the chassis.

Air Shroud

1. Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue.
2. Hold the top air shroud at the grip points and pull it upwards out of the chassis.

Air Shroud

1. Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue.
2. Install the air shroud and press the top air shroud down until the tabs click into place.

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
2. Align the tabs with the slots and install the side cover on the chassis.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, turn the side panel latch to the locked position.
