Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover to the computer.
Pry open the base cover starting from the bottom right corner of the base cover.
Lift the base cover starting from the bottom edge and push it towards the rear to remove it from the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Battery
Identify the battery highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the battery to the system.
Lift the battery at an angle and slide the battery out of the system.

Compression Attached Memory Module
Inner Frame
Identify the inner frame highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
Unroute the speaker and WLAN cables from the routing guide on the inner frame.
Remove the screws that secure the inner frame to the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the inner frame to the palm rest.
Remove the inner frame from the palm rest.
SD Card Reader
Identify the SD card reader highlighted in blue.
Lift the latch and disconnect the SD card and LED board cable from the SD card reader.
Remove the screw that secures the SD card reader on the palm rest .
Lift to remove the SD card reader out of the palm rest.
Install
SD Card Reader
Identify the SD card reader location highlighted in blue.
Place the SD card reader into its slot on the palm rest.
Install the screw to secure the SD card reader to the palm rest.
Connect the SD card and LED board cable to the SD card reader. Close the latch to secure.
Inner Frame
Identify the inner frame location highlighted in blue.
Place the inner frame on the palm rest.
Install the screws that secure the inner frame to the palm rest.
Install the screws that secure the inner frame to the system board.
Route the speaker and WLAN cables using the routing guide on the inner frame.
Connect the speaker cable on the system board.

Solid State Drive (SSD) Primary
Battery
Identify the battery location highlighted in blue.
Align with the tabs and place the battery onto its slot on the system.
Install the screws to secure the battery to the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the base cover into its slot until it clicks into place.
Tighten the captive screws to secure the base cover to the computer.
