Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Lift the release latch until the system cover slides back.
Lift the cover from the system.
PCI air shroud
Identify the cooling shroud highlighted in blue
Holding the air shroud at the blue touch points, lift it out of the system
Processor air shroud
Identify the cooling shroud highlighted in blue
Holding the air shroud at the blue touch points, lift it out of the system
Processor and heat sink module
Processor
Position the product as shown in the video to enable AR
Identify the processor highlighted in blue
Using your thumb, lift up break lever to release the processor and break the thermal seal.
Lift the processor away from the carrier and place the processor into the service tray with the pin field down, aligning the pin 1 indicators.
Starting at one corner, loosen the carrier and then move to each corner to remove.
Using the alcohol pad, clean the thermal material off the heat sink.
Install
Processor
Position the product as shown in the video to enable AR
Place the processor carrier on top of the processor, aligning pin 1 indicators on the processor.
Press down on the bracket on all four sides until it clicks into place.
Apply the grease in a thin spiral on the bottom of the heat sink or remove protective film on a new heat sink.
Place the heat sink on the processor carrier, aligning the pin one indicators
Press down on the heat sink on all four sides until it clicks into place. Do not press on the heat sink fins.

Processor air shroud
Identify the cooling shroud location highlighted in blue
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
PCI air shroud
Identify the cooling shroud location highlighted in blue
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system.
Close the system cover release latch.
