How to replace the Solid State Drive (SSD) 2230 on a Precision 3660 Tower

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Solid State Drive (SSD) 2230 and a Precision 3660 Tower. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the captive screw that secures the side cover to the chassis.

Pull the release latch to release the cover from the chassis.

Lift the side cover from the chassis.

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Locate the tabs on the side cover and slots on the chassis.

Tighten the captive screw to secure the side cover to the chassis.
