How to replace the Coin cell Battery on a Optiplex Micro 3000

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Coin cell Battery on a OptiPlex Micro 3000.

Removal

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
2. Loosen the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the system.
3. Slide and lift the side cover off the system.

I/O Module

1. Identify the I/O module highlighted in blue.
2. Remove the screws that secure the I/O module to the system.
3. Slide the I/O module from the system, do not remove it completely.
4. Lift and hold the I/O module and disconnect the cable from the connector on the system board.
5. Remove the I/O module from the system.

Coin cell Battery

1. Identify the coin cell battery highlighted in blue.
2. Push the release lever on the coin cell battery socket to release it from the socket.
3. Lift the coin cell battery from the coin cell battery socket.

Install

Coin cell Battery

1. Identify the coin cell battery location highlighted in blue.
2. Insert the coin cell battery into the socket with the positive side (+) label facing up.
3. Snap the coin cell battery into the socket.

I/O Module

1. Identify the I/O module location highlighted in blue.
2. Place and align the I/O module near the system.
3. Connect the I/O cable to the connector on the system board and align the I/O module on the system.
4. Sldie and install the I/O module into the slot on the system.
5. Install the screws that secure the I/O module to the system.

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
2. Place and slide the side cover towards the back of the system.
