Removal
Cover
Identify the cover highlighted in blue.
Pull the release latch to release the cover.
Rotate the cover and lift the cover to remove it from the computer.
PSU hinge
Identify the power supply unit (PSU) hinge highlighted in blue
Unlock the release tabs on the back of the system
Rotate the power supply unit hinge up to an open position.
Memory module
Identify the memory modules highlighted in blue
Push the retention tabs on both sides to release the memory module.
Hold the edges and lift the memory module up from connector on the system board.
Graphics card
Identify the full length graphics card highlighted in blue.
Lift to release the bracket from the system.
Disconnect the power cables from the full length graphics card.
Push the retention tab to release the graphics card.
Grasp the graphics card by its top corner and ease it out of the slot.
Solid state drive (SSD)
Identify the solid state drive (SSD) highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the solid state drive to the system board.
Slide and lift the solid state drive off the system board.
Heatsink
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Push down and outwards to release the lever. Lift the lever upward and lift up the processor shield.
Hold the processor firmly by the sides and lift the processor straight upwards from its socket.
System board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the system board power, CPU power and chassis fan cables.
Disconnect the front USB 1, front USB 2 cables.
Disconnect the front I/O panel, media card reader, front audio connector cables.
Disconnect the optical drive and hard drive SATA cables.
Disconnect the intrusion, speaker and I/O card cables.
Unroute the wireless antennas from the routing guides on the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the system board to the system.
Slide system board towards front to disengage rear I/O ports from chassis. Lift to remove it from the system.
Install
System board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue.
Slide system board towards the rear and position rear I/O ports on the chassis. Align the screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the system board to the system.
Reoute the wireless antennas through the routing guides on the system board.
Connect the intrusion, speaker and I/O card cables.
Connect the optical drive and hard drive SATA cables.
Connect the front I/O panel, media card reader, front audio connector cables.
Connect the front USB 1, front USB 2 cables.
Connect the system board power, CPU power and chassis fan cables.
Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Hold the processor edges and lower into its socket. Align the triangle on the processor with the socket. Do not use force as the pins can be easily damaged.
Close the processor shield by rotating it inwards. Lower the lever and push it under the tab to lock.
Heatsink
Solid state drive (SSD)
Identify the solid state drive location (SSD) highlighted in blue.
Align the notch on the solid state drive with the tab on the solid state drive slot.
Install the screw that secures the solid state drive to the system board.
Graphics card
Identify the full length graphic card location highlighted in blue.
Place the card into the slot and press down firmly until the full length graphics card snaps into place.
Rotate the release latch inwards to lock the graphics card.
Connect the power cables to the full length graphics card.
Slide the tab on the bracket into the slot on the system and snap it into place
Memory module
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Insert the memory module into the memory module socket.
Press the memory module down until the memory module retention tabs click into place.
PSU hinge
Identify the power supply unit (PSU) cage highlighted in blue.
Rotate the power supply unit cage downwards into the system.
Lock the release tabs to secure the power supply unit hinge to the system.
Cover
Identify the cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the hooks on the cover with the tabs on the chassis of the computer.
Rotate the cover until it clicks into place.
