How to replace the Memory Modules on a Optiplex Tower plus 7010

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Memory Modules on a Optiplex Tower plus 7010.

Removal

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
2. Slide the release latch to release the side cover from the computer.
3. Slide the side cover back and lift it off the chassis.

Memory Modules

1. Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
2. Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
3. Slide and remove the memory module from the memory module slot.

Install

Memory Modules

1. Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
2. Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory module slot.
3. Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
2. Align the tabs on the side cover with the slots on the chassis.
