Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover.
Using your fingertips, pry the base cover from the middle of the front edge and around the sides to release the base cover off the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Carefully pull the tape to disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Wireless module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) highlighted in blue.
Lift the mylar to access the wireless module.
Remove the screw that secures the bracket to the wireless module.
Slide the bracket to remove it from the wireless module.
Disconnect the antenna cables (black and white cables) from the wireless module.
Slide and remove the wireless module out of the slot.
Install
Wireless module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) location highlighted in blue.
Lift the mylar to access the wireless module.
Align the notch with the tab insert the WLAN into the slot on the system board.
Connect the black cable to the auxiliary (black triangle).
Connect the white cable to the main (white triangle).
Slide the bracket onto the wireless module and align the screw holes.
Install the screw that secures the WLAN and bracket to the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the notches under the rear I/O-cover and snap the base cover into place.
Install the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover.
