Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Using a 1/4 inch flat head or a phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock counterclockwise to the unlock position.
Lift the release latch until the system cover slides back.
Lift the system cover from the system.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue.
Hold the edges of the air shroud, and lift the air shroud out of the system.
System Memory
Select the system memory you want to replace.
To release the system memory from the socket, press the ejectors on both ends of the system memory socket simultaneously to fully open.
Lift the system memory from the system.
Install
System Memory
Confirm the system memory you want to replace.
Align the edge connector of the system memory with the alignment key of the system memory socket.
Insert the system memory into the slot and press it down until it clicks into place.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue.
Holding the edges of the air shroud, align the tabs on the air shroud with the standoff on the chassis.
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system, then slide the cover into place.
Close the system cover release latch.
Using a 1/4 inch flat head or phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise to the lock position.
