Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the thumbscrews that secure the side cover to the system.
Slide and lift the side cover away from the system.
Fan Duct
Identify the fan duct highlighted in blue.
Press the retention tabs on both sides of the fan duct to release it.
Remove the fan duct off the chassis.
Serial Module
Identify the serial module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the optional serial module to the system.
Disconnect the optional serial module cable from the connector on the system board.
Remove the serial module off the system board.
Install
Serial Module
Identify the serial module location highlighted in blue.
Insert the serial module into the slot on the chassis.
Connect the serial module cable to the connector on the system board.
Install the screws that secure the serial module to the chassis.
Fan Duct
Identify the fan duct location highlighted in blue.
Place the fan duct into the slots on the chassis.
Push the fan duct towards the back panel of the chassis until it clicks into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the side cover with the slots and place the side cover on the system.
Tighten the thumbscrews that secure the side cover to the system.
