Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover.
Pry the base cover near the hinges to release it from the system.
Remove the base cover by loosening the sides and front.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, lift up to disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Battery
Identify the battery highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the battery.
Lift the battery out of the system.
Turn the battery over.
Peel the tapes that adheres the battery cable to the battery.
Remove the battery cable from the routing guides on the battery.
Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the battery.
Remove the battery cable away from the battery.
Memory Modules
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
Hold the edges and carefully lift the memory module up from connector on the system board.
Wireless Module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screw that secures the WLAN card bracket.
Remove the bracket to access the WLAN cables.
Disconnect the antenna cables (black and white cables) from the WLAN.
Slide and remove the WLAN card from the connector.

System Fan
Chassis Frame
Identify the chassis frame highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
Unroute the speaker cable from the chassis frame.
Disconnect the fan cable from the connector on the system board.
Remove the fan cable from the routing guides.
Loosen the screw that secures the chassis frame and optional fingerprint bracket.
Remove the screws that secure the chassis frame to the system.
Lift to remove the chassis frame.
Display Cables
Identify the display cables highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the eDP bracket to the system board.
Lift the display/eDP bracket away from the system.
Disconnect the display cable from the connector on the system board.
Remove the display cable from the routing guide.
System board Assembly
Identify the system board assembly highlighted in blue.
Peel the coin cell battery off the palm rest and unroute the cable.
Remove the SIM card tray
Remove the screws that secure the USB Type-C bracket to the system board.
Remove the USB Type-C bracket from the system board.
Remove the screw that secures the heat sink to the palm rest.
Remove the screws that secure the system board to the palm rest.
Slide the system board to the left and remove from the system with the coin cell.
Keyboard Assembly
Identify the keyboard assembly highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the palm rest.
Remove the keyboard assembly off the palmrest.
Keyboard
Turn over the keyboard assembly and place it on flat surface.
Identify the keyboard highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the keyboard bracket.
Remove the keyboard from the keyboard bracket.
Install
Keyboard
Flip over the keyboard assembly and place it on flat surface.
Identify the keyboard location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the keyboard on the keyboard bracket.
Install the screws to secure the keyboard to the keyboard bracket.
Flip over the keyboard assembly over.
Keyboard Assembly
Identify the keyboard assembly location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the keyboard assembly on the palmrest.
Install the screws that secure the keyboard assembly to the palmrest.
System board Assembly
Identify the system board assembly location highlighted in blue.
Slide the system board with coin cell into the slot, ensuring to clear the Type-C ports.
Install the screws to secure the system board to the palm rest.
Install the screw that secures the heat sink.
Install the USB Type-C bracket that secures the USB Type-C port.
Install the screws that secure the USB Type-C port bracket.
Adhere the coin cell to the palm rest and route the cable along the guides.
Install the SIM card tray.
Display Cables
Identify the display cables location highlighted in blue.
Route the display cable through the routing guide.
Connect the display cable to the system board.
Install the eDP cable support bracket to the system.
Install the screws to secure the eDP bracket to the system board.
Chassis Frame
Identify the chassis frame location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the chassis frame on the system chassis.
Install the screws to secure the chassis frame to the system.
Tighten the screw that secures the chassis frame and optional fingerprint bracket.
Route the fan cable through the routing guides.
Connect the fan cable to the connector on the system board.
Route the speaker cable along the chassis frame.
Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
System Fan
SSD (Solid State Drive)
Wireless Module (WWAN)
Wireless Module (WLAN)
Identify the wireless module (WLAN) location highlighted in blue.
Insert the WLAN into the connector on the system board.
Connect the black cable to the auxiliary (black triangle).
Connect the white cable to the main (white triangle).
Install the bracket to secure the antenna cables.
Tighten the captive screw to secure the WLAN card bracket.
Memory Modules
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the slot and slide the memory into the slot at an angle.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
Battery
Identify the battery location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the battery.
Route the battery cable through the routing guides on the battery.
Adhere the tapes that secures the battery cable to the battery.
Turn the battery over.
Install the battery into the slot on the system, aligning the screw holes.
Tighten the captive screws to secure the battery in place.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Push down to connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover tabs to the slots, press the cover until it clicks into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover to the system.
