How to replace the Solid State Drive (SSD) 2280 on a Optiplex Micro 3000

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Solid State Drive (SSD) 2280 and a Optiplex Micro 3000.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the system.

Slide and lift the side cover off the system.

Hard Drive Assembly

Identify the hard drive assembly highlighted in blue.

Press the release tabs on the hard drive assembly and slide it towards the front of the system.

Lift the hard drive assembly from the system.

Install

Solid State Drive (SSD) 2280

Hard Drive Assembly

Identify the hard drive assembly location highlighted in blue.

Place the hard drive assembly into the slot on the system.

Slide the hard drive assembly toward the connector on the system board until the release tabs click into place.

Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Place and slide the side cover towards the back of the system.

Tighten the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the system.
