Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screw that secures the side cover to the chassis.
Pull the release latch to release the cover from the chassis.
Lift the side cover from the chassis.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Pry the retention tabs to release the front bezel from the chassis.
Slightly pull and rotate the front bezel outward from the chassis and remove the front bezel.
GPU End Holder
Identify the GPU end holder highlighted in blue.
Press the retention tabs on both sides of the GPU end holder to release it.
Remove the GPU end holder from the chassis.
Memory Module
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Pry the securing clips from both side of the memory module until the memory module pops up.
Remove the memory module from the memory module slot.
Wireless Module (WLAN)
SSD
Coin Cell Battery
Identify the coin cell battery highlighted in blue.
Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the coin cell battery out of the slot on the system board.
Remove the coin cell battery.
Expansion Card
Intrusion Switch
Identify the intrusion switch highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the intruder cable from the connector on the system board.
Unroute the cable from the routing guide on the chassis.
Slide and remove the intrusion switch from the chassis.
Internal Speaker
Identify the internal speaker highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the connector on the system board.
Unroute the internal speaker cable through the recess on the chassis.
Slide and remove the internal speaker from the chassis.
Front Chassis Fan Upper
Identify the front chassis fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the fan cable from the connector on the system board.
Press the tab to release the chassis fan from the slot.
Lift the chassis fan at an angle and carefully remove it from the chassis.
Front Chassis Fan Lower
Identify the front chassis fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the fan cable from the connector on the system board.
Press the tab to release the chassis fan from the slot.
Lift the chassis fan at an angle and carefully remove it from the chassis.
Rear Chassis Fan
Identify the rear chassis fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the fan cable from the connector on the system board.
Gently pull the rubber grommets to release the fan from the chassis.
Remove the fan from the chassis.
Heat Sink Assembly
VR heat sink
Identify the VR heat sink highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the VR heat sink to the system board.
Lift the VR heat sink off the system board.
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Push down the release lever and move it away from the processor to release it from the securing tab.
Extend the release lever completely and open the processor cover.
Gently lift the processor from the processor socket.
System Board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the front I/O bracket to the chassis and remove the front I/O bracket.
Remove the front I/O bracket from the chassis.
Disconnect internal USB, power switch, SATA power, ATX CPU power 1 & 2 cables from the system board.
Disconnect SATA 0, SATA 1, SATA 2, SATA 3 & SATA 4 cables from the system board.
Disconnect ATX system power, Thunderbolt, Type-C, Video card & LAN cables from the system board.
Unroute the cables from the routing guides on the chassis.
Remove the screws that secures the system board to the chassis.
Lift the system board at an angle and remove the system board off the chassis.
Install
System Board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue.
Slide the front I/O ports on the system board into the front I/O slot on the chassis and align the screw holes on the system board with the chassis.
Install the screws that secures the system board assembly to the chassis.
Route the cables to the routing guides on the chassis.
Connect the ATX system power, Thunderbolt, Type-C, Video card & LAN cables to their connectors on the system board.
Connect the SATA 0, SATA 1, SATA 2, SATA 3 & SATA 4 cables to their connectors on the system board.
Connect the internal USB, power switch, SATA power, ATX CPU power 1 & 2 cables to their connectors on the system board.
Align the front I/O bracket to the front I/O ports and install the bracket on the chassis.
Install the screw that secures the front I/O bracket to the chassis.
Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Ensure that the release lever on the processor socket is fully extended in the open position.
Ensure that the pin 1 indicator on the processor socket and the CPU are aligned.
Align the notches on the processor with the tabs on the socket and place it on the socket.
Once the processor is in place, lower the release lever and secure it under the tab on the processor cover.
VR heat sink
Identify the VR heat sink location highlighted in blue.
Remove the liner behind the VR heatsink modules.
Adhere the VR heatsinks align the captive screws on the screw holes in system board.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the VR heat sink to the system board.
Heat Sink Assembly
Rear Chassis Fan
Identify the rear chassis fan location highlighted in blue.
Insert the rubber grommets on the chassis.
Align the slots on the fan with the rubber grommets on the chassis.
Route the rubber grommets through the slots on the fan and pull the rubber grommets until the fan snaps into position.
Connect the fan cable to the connector on the system board.
Front Chassis Fan Lower
Identify the front chassis fan location highlighted in blue.
Insert the chassis fan at an angle into the slot in the chassis.
Align the tabs on the fan with the slots on the chassis.
Connect the fan cable to the connector on the system board.
Front Chassis Fan Upper
Identify the front chassis fan location highlighted in blue.
Insert the chassis fan at an angle into the slot on the chassis.
Align the tabs on the fan with the slots on the chassis.
Connect the fan cable to the connector on the system board.
Internal Speaker
Identify the internal speaker location highlighted in blue.
Insert the internal speaker into its slot on the system.
Route the internal speaker cable through the recess on the front of the chassis.
Connect the internal speaker cable to the connector on the system board.
Intrusion Switch
Identify the intrusion switch location highlighted in blue.
Insert the intrusion switch into its slot and slide the switch to secure it into the slot.
Route the intruder cable through the routing guide on the chassis.
Connect the intruder cable to the connector on the system board.
Expansion Card
Coin Cell Battery
Identify the coin cell battery location highlighted in blue.
Insert the coin cell battery into the socket with the positive side (+) label facing up.
Snap the battery in the socket.
SSD
Wireless Module (WLAN)
Memory Module
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
GPU End Holder
Identify the GPU end holder location highlighted in blue.
Position the GPU end holder to align it with the slots on the computer chassis.
Press the GPU end holder down until it clicks into place.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Position the front bezel to align the tabs on the bezel with the slots on the chassis.
Rotate the front cover towards the chassis and snap it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Locate the tabs on the side cover and slots on the chassis.
Tighten the captive screw to secure the side cover to the chassis.
