How to replace the Speaker on a Precision 7875 Tower

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Speaker and a Precision 7875 Tower. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover, Front Bezel - Hard Drive, Front bezel, Air Shroud and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
2. Unlock the side panel latch using a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Press to open the latch of the side cover. Pull the release latch to release the side cover from the chassis.
4. Open the side cover at an angle and lift the cover away from the chassis.

Front Bezel - Hard Drive

Front bezel

1. Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
2. Gently pry the retention tabs to release the front bezel from the chassis.
3. Rotate the front bezel outward from the chassis and remove the front bezel.

Air Shroud

1. Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue.
2. Hold the top air shroud at the grip points and pull it upwards out of the chassis.

Speaker

1. Identify the speaker highlighted in blue.
2. Unroute the speaker dongle cable from the routing guide on the intrusion switch.
3. Disconnect the speaker cable from the speaker dongle cable.
4. Press the two tabs and pull the speaker along with the cable from the slot on the chassis.

Install

Speaker

1. Identify the speaker location highlighted in blue.
2. Route the speaker cable through the slot on the chassis.
3. Press the tab on the speaker and slide it into the chassis slot until it snaps into place.
4. Connect the speaker cable to the speaker dongle cable.
5. Route the speaker dongle cable through the routing guide on the intrusion switch.

Air Shroud

1. Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue.
2. Install the air shroud and press the top air shroud down until the tabs click into place.

Front bezel

1. Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
2. Align the front bezel tabs with the slots on the chassis.
3. Install and rotate the front bezel towards the chassis, then snap it into place.

Front Bezel - Hard Drive

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
2. Align the tabs with the slots and install the side cover on the chassis.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, turn the side panel latch to the locked position.
