Removal
Base Cover
Align the system with the outline to enable the AR lock.
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Slide the blue tab to release the base cover from the system.
Slide the cover toward the back and lift to remove from the system.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Lift the tabs to release the bezel from the system.
Slightly lift the front of the system to release the bezel from system.
Front Panel
Identify the front panel highlighted in blue.
Lift the front panel up to open.
Heatsink
Identify the heatsink highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the fan cable from the connector on the system board.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the heatsink to the system board
Lift the heatsink away from the system.
Use the alcohol pad to clean the heatsink (as shown in the video).
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Push down and outwards to release the lever. Lift the lever upward and lift up the processor shield.
Hold the processor firmly by the sides and lift the processor straight upwards from its socket.
Expansion Card
Identify the PCIe expansion card highlighted in blue.
Rotate the release latch outwards to unlock the expansion card.
Press the release tab to release the expansion card.
While pulling the release tab, hold the expansion card by its edges and lift it out of the system.
SSD
Identify the solid state drive (SSD) highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the SSD.
Holding the sides of the module, slightly lift and pull out the SSD from its connector.
Memory Modules
Identify the memory modules highlighted in blue
Push the retention tabs on both sides to release the memory module.
Hold the edges and lift the memory module up from connector on the system board.
System Board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue
Disconnect the optical drive and hard drive cables from the system board.
Disconnect the power supply unit cables from the system board.
Disconnect the system fan and intrusion switch from the system board.
Disconnect the power button and speaker cables from the system board.
Remove screws that secure the system board to the system
Slide and lift the system board from the system.
Install
System Board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue
Lower the system board until the connectors at the back align with the slots on the system.
Install the screws to secure the system board to the system.
Connect the power button and speaker cables to the system board.
Connect the system fan and intrusion switch to the system board.
Connect the power supply unit cables to the system board.
Connect the optical drive and hard drive cables to the system board.
Memory Modules
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Insert the memory module into the memory module socket.
Press the memory module down until the memory module retention tabs click into place.
SSD
Identify the solid state drive (SSD) location highlighted in blue.
Align and insert the SSD to its connector.
Install the screw to secure the SSD to the system board.
Expansion Card
Identify the PCIe expansion card location highlighted in blue
Hold the expansion card by its edges and evenly push it down until it clicks into the slot.
Rotate the release latch inwards to lock the expansion card.
Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Hold the processor edges and lower into its socket. Align the triangle on the processor with the socket. Do not use force as the pins can be easily damaged.
Close the processor shield by rotating it inwards. Lower the lever and push it under the tab to lock.
Heatsink
Identify the heatsink location highlighted in blue
Apply paste or pad included with the heatsink. Apply in a spiral pattern.
Align the heatsink to the screw holes and slowly lower the heatsink assembly on the processor.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the heatsink.
Connect the fan cable to the connector on the system board.
Front Panel
Identify the front panel highlighted in blue.
Close the front panel door. Push down until it clicks into place.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue
Align the tab holders on the system and push the bezel until the tabs click into place.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the cover on the system and slide it until it clicks into place.
Slide the blue tab to lock the cover to the system.
