Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Using a phillips screwdriver to turn the side panel latch to the unlocked position.
Pull the release latch to release the side cover from the system.
Push the latch and release the side cover from the system.
Lift the side cover away from the system.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue.
Hold the top air shroud at the grip points and pull it upwards out of the system.
Thunderbolt PCIe card
Identify the thunderbolt PCIe card highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the thunderbolt PCIe cable from its connector on the system board.
Remove the thunderbolt PCIe cable from the routing guide on the system.
Push the PCIe latch to open the PCIe door.
Lift the thunderbolt PCIe card away from the expansion card slot.
Install
Thunderbolt PCIe card
Identify the powered graphics card location highlighted in blue.
Align the thunderbolt PCIe card with the expansion card slot on the system board.
Using the alignment post, connect the thunderbolt PCIe card to the connector and press down firmly.
Route the thunderbolt PCIe through the routing guide on the system.
Connect the thunderbolt PCIe cable to its connector on the system board.
Close the PCIe door, locking it into position.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue.
Align the top air shroud over the heat sink and system board.
Install and press the top air shroud down until the tabs click into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs with the slots and install the side cover on the system.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the side-panel latch to the locked position.
