How to replace the 10G Network Adapter on a Precision 7875 Tower

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the 10G Network Adapter and a Precision 7875 Tower. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
2. Unlock the side panel latch using a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Press to open the latch of the side cover. Pull the release latch to release the side cover from the chassis.
4. Open the side cover at an angle and lift the cover away from the chassis.

10G Network Adapter

1. Identify the 10G network adapter highlighted in blue.
2. Push the PCIe latch to open the PCIe door.
3. Lift the 10G network adapter away from the slot on the system board.

Install

10G Network Adapter

1. Identify the 10G network adapter location highlighted in blue.
2. Using the alignment post, push the 10G network adapter firmly into the PCIe slot and press down firmly.
3. Close the PCIe door, locking it into position.

Side Cover

1. Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
2. Align the tabs with the slots and install the side cover on the chassis.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, turn the side panel latch to the locked position.
