Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Using a flat head or a Phillips screwdriver, rotate the lock counter clockwise.
Lift the latch till the system cover slides back.
Hold the cover on both sides, and lift the cover away from the system.
Air shroud
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue
Holding the touch points, lift the cooling shroud away from the system.
BOSS Module
Loosen the captive screw that securing the riser to the system board.
Position the part so that the BOSS module visible to remove.
Identify the BOSS module highlighted in blue.
Open the PCIe card holder latch.
Hold the BOSS module by its edges, and pull the module from the system
M.2 SSD card (Solid State Drive)
Position the boss module over as shown.
Identify the M.2 SSD card highlighted in blue.
Loosen the screw that secures the M.2 SSD module.
lift the retention strap that secures the M.2 SSD module
Pull the M.2 SSD module away from the BOSS card.
Install
M.2 SSD card (Solid State Drive)
Position the boss module over as shown.
Identify the M.2 SSD card location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch with the tab and insert the SSD into the connector on the BOSS card.
Secure the M.2 SSD module on the BOSS card with the retention strap.
Tighten the screw that secures the M.2 SSD module.
BOSS Module
Position the part so that the Boss module port visible to install module.
Identify the BOSS module highlighted in blue.
Open the PCIe card holder latch.
Insert the module edge connector firmly into the Boss module connector until the module is fully seated.
Close the BOSS module latch.
Lower the low profile right riser assembly into place until it is fully seated in the connector on the system board.
Tighten the captive screw to secure the riser to the system board.
Air shroud
Identify the cooling shroud location highlighted in blue
Align the slot on the air shroud with the standoff on the chassis.
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system.
Push the system cover latch down.
Using a flat head or Phillips screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise.
