How to replace the Memory Module on a Dell Pro 14 Plus PB14250 U Series

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Memory Module and a Dell Pro 14 Plus PB14250 U Series. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

1. Base Cover
   • Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
   • Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
   • Pry open the base cover from the recesses that are located in the U shaped indents at the top edge of the base cover near the hinges.
   • Lift the base cover off the palm rest assembly.
2. Memory Module
   • Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
   • Using your fingertips, spread apart the securing clips on the memory module slot until the memory module pops up.
   • Slide and remove the memory module from the system board.

Install

1. Memory Module
   • Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
   • Slide and install the memory module on the system board.
   • Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
2. Base Cover
   • Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
   • Align and place the base cover on the palm rest assembly and snap it into place.
   • Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
