This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the SSD (solid state drive) 2280 and a Precision 3280 CFF. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover, Riser card Module, Solid State Drive 2280 and reinstalling them.
Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the chassis.
Slide towards the front and lift the side cover off the chassis.
Riser card Module
Identify the riser card module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the riser card module to the chassis.
Lift the riser card module off the chassis.
Solid State Drive 2280
Install
Solid State Drive 2280
Riser card Module
Identify the riser card module location highlighted in blue.
Install the riser card module on the chassis and align with screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the riser card module to the chassis.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the side cover into place towards the front of the chassis.
Tighten the thumb screw that secure the side cover to the chassis.
