Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the chassis.
Slide towards the front and lift the side cover off the chassis.
Riser card Module
Identify the riser card module highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the riser card module to the chassis.
Lift the riser card module off the chassis.
SSD
SSD with Heat Sink Module
Wireless Module
Speaker
Identify the speaker highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
Press the release tab and lift the speaker along with the cable from the system board.
Coin Cell Battery
Identify the coin cell battery highlighted in blue.
Push the securing clip on the coin cell battery socket to release it from the socket.
Lift the coin cell battery from the coin cell battery socket.
Processor Fan
Identify the processor fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
Press the blue tabs on both sides of the processor fan and lift the processor fan off the chassis.
Memory Module
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Using your fingertips, carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end until the memory module pops up.
Slide and remove the memory module from the memory module slot.
Heat sink
Identify the heat sink highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board. Loosen in reverse order.
Lift the heat sink off the system board.
Use the alcohol pad to clean the heatsink (as shown in the video).
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Press down and push the release lever away from the processor to release it from the securing tab.
Extend the release lever completely and open the processor cover.
Gently lift the processor from the processor socket.
System Board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the speaker holder to the system board.
Lift the speaker support holder off the system board.
Disconnect the power button cable from the system board.
Remove the screw that secures the system board to the chassis.
Remove the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
Slide and lift the system board at an angle and remove it from the chassis.
Install
System Board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue.
Slide and install the system board on the chassis and align with screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
Install the screw that secures the system board to the chassis.
Connect the power button cable to the system board.
Place the speaker support holder on the system board and align with the screw holes.
Install the screw that secures the speaker holder to the system board.
Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Ensure that the release lever on the processor socket is fully extended in the open position.
Ensure that the pin 1 indicator on the processor socket and the CPU are aligned.
Align the notches on the processor with the tabs on the socket and place it on the socket.
Once the processor is in place, lower the release lever and secure it under the tab on the processor cover.
Heat sink
Identify the heat sink location highlighted in blue.
Apply the thermal material in a spiral pattern as shown.
Install the heat sink on the system board and align with screw holes.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board. Tighten in order.
Memory Module
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the slot and slide the memory into the slot at an angle.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
Processor Fan
Identify the processor fan location highlighted in blue.
Press the release tab on the processor fan and place it on the chassis until it clicks into place.
Connect the fan cable to the system board.
Coin Cell Battery
Identify the coin cell battery location highlighted in blue.
Insert the coin cell battery into the socket with the positive side (+) label facing inner side.
Snap the battery into place.
Speaker
Identify the speaker location highlighted in blue.
Align and insert the speaker into the slot and press it until the release tab clicks.
Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
Wireless Module

Identify the riser card module location highlighted in blue.
Install the riser card module on the chassis and align with screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the riser card module to the chassis.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the side cover into place towards the front of the chassis.
Tighten the thumb screw that secure the side cover to the chassis.
