This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Processor and a Precision 3630. The procedure will also include removing the Cover, PSU hinge, Heatsink and reinstalling them.
Removal
Cover
Identify the cover highlighted in blue.
Pull the release latch to release the cover.
Rotate the cover and lift the cover to remove it from the computer.
PSU hinge
Identify the power supply unit (PSU) hinge highlighted in blue
Unlock the release tabs on the back of the system
Rotate the power supply unit hinge up to an open position.
Heatsink
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Push down and outwards to release the lever. Lift the lever upward and lift up the processor shield.
Hold the processor firmly by the sides and lift the processor straight upwards from its socket.
Install
Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Hold the processor edges and lower into its socket. Align the triangle on the processor with the socket. Do not use force as the pins can be easily damaged.
Close the processor shield by rotating it inwards. Lower the lever and push it under the tab to lock.
Heatsink
PSU hinge
Identify the power supply unit (PSU) cage highlighted in blue.
Rotate the power supply unit cage downwards into the system.
Lock the release tabs to secure the power supply unit hinge to the system.
Cover
Identify the cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the hooks on the cover with the tabs on the chassis of the computer.
Rotate the cover until it clicks into place.
