DVS Simplified DaaS
Deliver secure, full-featured virtual desktops — minus infrastructure cost — and reduce the complexity of deploying virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) with cloud-based, Dell desktop as a service (DaaS).

With Dell DaaS, you manage your virtual desktops (user profiles, operating system and applications) with a self-service portal and Dell manages your VDI — including data center hardware and facilities, VDI software and security — as a monthly subscription service. Users can connect to full-featured virtual desktops from anywhere, at anytime, using any device — but those virtual desktop resources never leave the secure cloud.

Consider your compliance and performance requirements when choosing between these options.

Dell DaaS removes the infrastructure management complexity of VDI with a Dell-hosted virtual desktop service. Choose from:
  • DaaS Standard (2GB RAM and 20GB storage, and PCoIP or remote desktop protocol (RDP)) includes Microsoft Windows Server operating system for file and print services
  • DaaS Professional (4GB RAM and 20GB storage, and PCoIP protocol)

Dell DaaS Made Easier extends Dell DaaS to include desktop virtualization, cloud services, endpoints and financing in one offer. You can manage your DaaS desktops and servers, users and images from a secure enterprise portal. The Dell DaaS Made Easier offer includes:
  • DaaS Startup. To help ensure optimal performance, Dell experts set up your environment, including:
    • DaaS infrastructure and network configuration
    • A virtual private network (VPN) to protect your Active Directory communication to the DaaS platform
    • Onboarding to quickly set up and integrate DaaS into your environment
  • Microsoft Windows VDA Licenses. Virtual Desktop Access (VDA) licenses provide the remote Microsoft Windows access thin clients and mobile devices need.
  • Microsoft Client Access Licenses: Client access licenses enable users to access Microsoft Windows Server services, such as file and print.
  • Microsoft Office (optional): Add popular MS Office licenses to the offer and leverage Dell negotiated prices.
  • Wyse Device Manager (WDM) (optional): Rack and manage your Wyse devices with WDM.
  • Endpoints: Choose from a variety of Dell Wyse thin clients that includes the Linux-based, high-performance D50D with dual-core AMD™ processor.

Qualified customers can lease thin clients and licenses for the Dell DaaS solution from Dell Financial Services (DFS) or Dell Business Credit.

Simplify management

Provision, activate and manage your virtual desktops from a central web portal. With DVS Simplified DaaS, you don’t have to manage, secure or maintain your virtual desktop infrastructure — Dell does that for you.

Rapidly scale your virtual desktop environment

Rapidly scale the number of desktops up or down, as needed. With cloud-based DVS Simplified DaaS, you deploy additional virtual desktops from a central management console, and Dell manages the logistics of scaling capacity.

Secure your virtual desktops

  • Secure your desktops with a private network connection that uses your Active Directory to authenticate user access. With this configuration, the virtual desktop environment looks like an extension of your IT environment even though it’s running in remote data center
  • Keep your data safe by storing it in your secure data center or in a Dell facility. Protect data transfer with secure virtual private network (VPN) connections

Save money

  • Lower your up-front costs with a predictable monthly subscription. This enables you to scale your infrastructure based on fluctuating business demands without the cost of IT management.
  • Save on space, power, as well as the cost of managing a data center.
  • Spend less time managing corporate desktops and more time on strategic projects.

Dell offers the following optional services to support you at every step — from deployment to ownership:
