Removing the optional SmartCard reader board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. hard drive assembly or M.2 SSD or PCIe SSD
    4. dock frame

  3. To remove the SmartCard reader board:
    1. Disconnect the SmartCard reader board cable from the USH board [1, 2].
    2. Peel the cable to release from the adhesive.
    3. Remove the screws that secure the SmartCard reader board to the computer [3].
    4. Lift the SmartCard reader board from the computer [4]. Figure displaying how to disconnect the SmartCard reader cable and how to peel the cable to release it from the adhesive.
