Index

Index fait référence au numéro d'un événement pour un composant particulier. Index est un paramètre facultatif. Lorsque vous omettez de spécifier le paramètre index, la configuration des événements se fait pour tous les composants du type spécifié, tel que pour tous les ventilateurs. Par exemple, lorsqu'un système contient plus d'un ventilateur, vous pouvez activer ou désactiver la notification d'événement pour un ventilateur particulier. Voici un exemple de commande : 
omconfig system events type=fan index=0 severity=critical
ou 
omconfig servermodule events type=fan index=0 severity=critical

Suite à cette commande, Server Administrator n'envoie une interruption SNMP que si le premier ventilateur du châssis du système (index 0) a atteint le nombre de tr/min critique.
