Mounting Wyse 3010, Wyse 3020, Wyse 3030, Wyse 3030LT, and Wyse 5030 clients

Use the following instructions to mount the Wyse 3010, Wyse 3020, Wyse 3030, Wyse 3030LT, and Wyse 5030 clients to the P mount. These clients require mounting of the client to their respective horizontal stands before installing the thin client to the P-series monitor mount. Horizontal stands required by thin client model are:

  1. Preparing the client and attaching the power adaptor
    1. If the thin client is installed on the horizontal stand, remove it from the stand. On the inside of the horizontal stand, slide one of the four hex nuts which come with the tool kit into one of the four screw holes.
    2. From outside of the horizontal stand, insert a shoulder screw into the hex nut and tighten it.
    3. Repeat for remaining three hex nuts and shoulder screws.
    4. Insert the client into the horizontal stand, with the power button facing upward, and the extended plastic ledge on the opposite side.
    5. To install the power adapter holder, slide the small hooks downward into the vertical slotted holes and the large hooks onto the top edge of the mount. Use the M2.5x0.45 screw to secure the power adapter holder onto the mount as indicated in the following illustration.

    • NOTE:

      Slide the hex nut across the stand surface so that it easily slips into the recessed cut-out in the horizontal stand.

      Use the plastic bracket with the hex holes.

  2. Removing the monitor stand
    1. Place the monitor panel face down on a soft cloth or cushion.
    2. Remove the stand from the monitor by pushing the monitor’s quick release button as indicated in the following illustration. Removing the monitor stand
  3. Attaching P-series mount to the monitor
    1. Remove the monitor screws from the back of the monitor and use them when you proceed with installation later.
    2. Position the P-series mount on the back of the monitor. Tilt and slide the top tabs into the dedicated tab slots, and then firmly slide down bottom edge of mount until it snaps in place.
    3. Reinstall the monitor screws.

  4. Reinstalling the monitor stand –Insert the upper stand tabs into the dedicated space on the P-series mount and gently press down until the quick release button snaps into place. Place the monitor in the upright position. Reinstalling the monitor stand
  5. Adjusting and securing monitor height (optional)
    1. For portrait orientation-Raise the monitor to the maximum height and attach the stopper. Ensure that the arrow on the stopper is facing up and facing front side of the stand. Wrap the stopper around the stand and snap the ends.
    2. For landscape orientation-Adjust the monitor height and attach stopper. Ensure that the arrow on the stopper is facing up and facing front side of the stand, and then snap the stopper ends.

      • NOTE:
        • The stopper is required for P-series monitors to hold the monitor in place at the desired height.
        • If you are using a Dell Wyse 5030 zero client with either a P2219H, P2319H, P2419H, or P2719H monitor, the stopper is not required.
  6. Connecting cables–To complete the setup, make all the desired connections, and then plug in the power adapter to an electrical outlet.
