Field Name Description

Base DN

Refers to the Distinguished Name (DN) where the users are searched by ASM. It is the Distinguished Name (DN) of the starting point for directory server searches.

For example: CN=Users,DC=mydomain,Dc=com

Filter

Refers to the filters that enable you to define search criteria. For example: objectClass=*

User Name Attribute

Refers to the Active Directory record attribute that represents the User Name attribute. This attribute is mapped to ASM User Name attribute. For example: sAMAccountName

First Name Attribute

Refers to the Active Directory record attribute that represents First Name. This attribute is mapped to ASM First Name attribute. For example: givenName

Last Name Attribute

Refers to the Active Directory record attribute that represents the Last Name of the user. This attribute is mapped to ASM Last Name attribute. For example: sn

Email Attribute

Refers to the Active Directory record attribute that represents the Email of the user. This attribute is mapped to ASM Email attribute. For example: mail
