Procedure

  1. Lift the latches and disconnect the touch-pad cable and the status-light cable from the power-button board.
  2. Disconnect the power-button board cable from the power-button board.
  3. Remove the screws that secure the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
  4. Lift the power-button board off the palm-rest assembly.
