Procedure

  1. Disconnect the data and power cables from the hard drive.
  2. Press the release tabs on the hard-drive assembly and slide the hard-drive assembly out of the hard-drive cage.

  3. Pry the hard-drive bracket to release the tabs on the bracket from the slots on the hard drive.
  4. Lift the hard drive off the hard-drive bracket.
    • NOTE: Note the orientation of the hard drive so that you can replace it correctly.

  5. Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive cage to the chassis.
  6. Slide and lift the hard-drive cage off the chassis.
