Dell Storage Management Pack Components

The Dell Storage Management Pack 4.1 for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager consists of the components listed in the following table.

Component Description
Management Packs:
  • Dell Storage Management Pack for SCOM
  • Dell VMM Storage Management Pack for SCOM
  • Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
Defines the various components that make up a management pack. When a management pack is installed, instances of the classes defined by the management pack are automatically discovered and monitored. For more information, see Management Pack Classes and Virtual Machine Discovery Management Pack Classes.
Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Provider A dynamic link library (DLL) that implements the WMI classes that provide the data discovered and monitored by the management pack. The provider is configured to connect to one or more Dell API endpoints using the Dell Storage WMI Provider Configurator tool.
