AW2721D, connection via RTX 2070 DisplayPort

@AHau I realize this is a basic question, but I'm asking it because sometimes this is the problem for some people in this situation: When you tested DP, did you remember to switch the display over to its DP input instead of leaving it on its HDMI input?  If you did that, then have you tried a different DP cable or successfully tested your current DP cable with another DP display?  It seems unlikely that all three DP outputs on your GPU are bad, but if you've only been testing with a single DP cable and you've only tested it with a single DP input on one display, then those variables still need to be isolated.

Yes, i've changed the input from HDMI to DP - nothing - only the note : " dp input" and the next " going to standby". So, i've returned to HDMI input.

And again, DP is going to standby.

And i ve used all 3 DP ports of ASUS, the monitor works only via HDMI (((

@AHau  Ok, in that case it sounds like there are 3 potential issues:

• There's a problem affecting all DP outputs on the ASUS GPU.  Seems unlikely.
• There's a problem with your display's DP input.  Seems more likely.
• There's a problem that affects the specific combination of your ASUS GPU and this display.  These types of interoperability problems are rare, but they do occur.  Not everything that should work in the tech world always does.

Do you have some other DisplayPort source or some other DisplayPort display to start narrowing down the above possibilities?

You might also try checking your monitor's DP input for physical damage. 

Example damaged HDMI: 

• There's a problem affecting all DP outputs on the ASUS GPU.  Seems unlikely.  Need to ask ASUS team?
• There's a problem with your display's DP input.  Seems more likely. I've tested with my Dell laptop (DP from monitor to miniDP to laptop), so image is good (not tested frequencies). That means that monitor DP + cable are fine.
• There's a problem that affects the specific combination of your ASUS GPU and this display.  These types of interoperability problems are rare, but they do occur.  Not everything that should work in the tech world always does. Bad, so how can I check this?

Do you have some other DisplayPort source or some other DisplayPort display to start narrowing down the above possibilities? Need to buy new card to test this (maybe in the summer I'll change it for MSI or other card. RN, I can use this monitor via HDMI input, no prob, but I want to understand the source of this.

@AHau  I just saw this thread get posted over in the Displays section.  It's not the exact same display or GPU, but it's another Dell display and an RTX 20 Series GPU.  That person didn't say whether it was an ASUS board.  But exact same behavior about DP not working while HDMI works fine.  This makes me wonder if it might be an interoperability issue, and even if it is, it might still be fixable with a future driver update.
