Area 51 R1 power board cpu fan vs system fan header
A51 R1 (Dell Phobos 2009) AIO pump radiator fan plugs into sys_fan2 header next to CPU_LC_pump 5 pin header. In AWCC the rad fan speed is read out as system fan.
MIO has a long 3 pin cable that plugs into motherboard cpu fan header (4 pin).
This is how AWCC controls AIO cooler and rad fan via MIO and power board. If one plugs a chassis fan (such as 92 mm rear fan) into motherboard system fan header, AWCC does not sense it.
Question is: what is the cpu_fan1 header on power board for?

Pics above are for whomever's interested … the CPU & VGA 1/2 fan headers are constant 12volt (hi-speed) 'zombee' outputs (alive but dead). My guess is in the beginning design phase they hoped for triple 120 radiators for CPU/GPUs (w/temp sensors) + a 92mm rear case fan all running off the top left pwrboard & monitored through MIO/CmndCntr, but it was abandoned. Chances are, to aid the assembly line they paired the AIO CLC black 5pin & SysFan headers for faster simpler connection & tweaked the software such that SysFan is the active header (for rad-fan) & left the CPU / VGA 1/2 headers hi-speed 'zombees' ... my guess is it'd take a software hack to get CPU/VGA headers alive & active (& with widgets in the UI). If you need hi-speed fans, the CPU/VGA headers can do that
