Area-51 R2, feasible to install the new Nvidia RTX 3080?

I would like to know if it is possible to install the new Nvidia cards (specifically the RTX 3080) in an Alienware Area 51 R2 desktop PC.

I understand that by power supply (Nvidia requires a minimum of 750W and I have 1500W), space (there is enough in the box), number of expansion slots (I also have enough, for the 3080 2 are necessary) and power connectors ( Nvidia asks 2 8-pin PCIe - on this I have some doubts) ... it seems that it would be feasible but, would there be any incompatibility with the motherboard or some other element?

Thanks in advance and greetings!

I looked up mine and it came with WIN8.

Non OEM dell cards require secure boot off.

This is not optional.

There is no LEGACY CSM mode with UEFI Class 3 Bios.

Systems newer than Skylake with Class 3 bios do not have any legacy booting anymore.

All future systems are 64 bit only WIN10 only end of story.

Windows NT,2000,XP,Vista,7,8.0 are end of life end of support and no longer available EVER.

8.0 users get free upgrade to 8.1

Non UEFI dells may have issues with TURING  RTX 2080 2060 1650 1660.

ALL of the pascal based cards work fine with 1500w including the 1080TI

If your dell is UEFI CLASS 2.3.1 then NON DELL cards will require secure boot off. Other than that there are no issues.

I have an Evga GTX 1070 FTW in mine and it fits fine with plenty of extra room. According to google these are the size differences:

My 1070: 10.5 x 5.06 x 1.5 inches

3080 Founders: 11.2 x 4.4 x 1.5 inches

Hope this helps.

On the two 8-pins, can you clarify what pins you use right now? what GPU you have?

with 1500w PSU (is it original?) it should have plenty GPU outlets in the PSU. if not already, you might want to draw power from two separate plugs from the PSU, instead of using a single cable bifurcated into two 8-pins connectors.

Spoiler
Yes, my PSU is original. My GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce 1080

I think that the problem is not space. My question is more related to the requirements from the motherboard and the power supply. If there is something there that can make not possible to install the RTX 3080

best!

@Jastudil I too got an Area-51 desktop in 2016. I too would like to know if the RTX3080 can easily replace the GTX1080 card thats currently in it. Do I have to replace/upgrade the 850W power supply, i7-6800K/6850k? Processor, and 16GB Quad Channel DDR4 at 2133Mhz, mobo etc. I dont know too much about PCs anymore these days, so any help will be greatly appreciated. I know that since the RTX 3080s just came out, more benchmark studies will come out...but hopefully someone tests it with a i7-6800K.
