Hi,
Can we put 1tth Gen CPU in Alienware Aurora R11?
Do we need new BIOS / Microcode for it?
Thanks in advance.

This forum post has more information. And no BIOS update was ever released for the R11 to allow for an 11th gen CPU but the link has more information.

JOcean is correct (again). Dell refuses to write biois update for R11 to support 11th gen while R12 has bios for that cpu. R11 and R12 have same chipset Z490 mobo. They might be the same mobo except for different bios from all users can tell. Dell did it again by blocking user upgrade path.

I believe it is similar by design like the R10. The R10 with Ryzen 3000 cannot be upgraded to Ryzen 5000. For that you have to purchase the R10 with the Ryzen 5000.
It's a good piece of information to have if you ever look at an R10, since they did not relabel the Ryzen 5000 version any different than the Ryzen 3000 version. They are both called R10.

That's why I am sticking with BIOS version 1.0.8 (for now) in my first generation R10 with 3000 series Ryzen - If it ain't broke...

That's a good idea, because sometimes a new BIOS revision can cause unexpected issues with aftermarket items, especially memory.
