Aurora R11, makes annoying noise when no game is played

Hi guys,

I got Alienware Aurora R11 a month ago. Everything went fine with the box until a few days ago when it started to make electricity noise. It doesn't sound like a fan noise. It is similar to the sound I hear from electrical adapters.

When I move the PC slightly from its position, the noise goes away. It could come later after a few hours.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks!

If the sound is like a low buzz, it might be a coil whine.
It can be something the warranty can be used for.
Maybe try to record the sound so we could hear it here.

Also double check all the wires are fully seated.

With pc off and unplugged of course.

Since you mention the sound going away if you move the pc, have you opened it up to check nothing is touching the fan or side of the fan frame like a wire vibrating against the side of the fan or a dpn sticker flapping against the fan blade.

Every time I've experienced this in the past, it's been a loose/not completely plugged in speaker cable.

Old post I know, but curious if you ever figured out what the noise was.  I am wondering if my noise is the same as what you were experiencing.  Mine comes from the top and is a constant high low high low high low (like listening to crickets at night) rubbing sound.  I don't really hear it under load probably because the fans drown it out, but idle, it's very annoying.  I was thinking the fan mechanism above the aio.
