Aurora R11, unable to update Bios 1.0.3, anyone else have the same issue?

Thanks , i am trying to Enable "XMP" in the BIOS under "Performance Options " but its all Greyed out and disabled , i cant seem to find how to allow me to enable it  any ideas ?

XMP is easy RAM overclocking profiling provided on Intel motherboards for certain RAM modules of a certain make and model in certain configuration.

This means unless on your RAM website it states for your motherboard it supports the model and config (e.g. 16GB x4), it is not guaranteed.

If you bought the RAM all from Dell, they should guarantee you get the 3200MHz XMP.

Yes i bought the entire Alienware Aurora R11 from dell including the RAMs

On Alienware Command Centre My RAMS Max out at 2660 Mhz so i am sure i am not getting the full RAM speed, i was wondering if enabling XMP would solve that and if so why wont the Bios let me 

Should i be changing the Setting from the FUSION part where i can overclock it ?

Actually thanks to this community because I had the same issue with mine being disable right out the box. Got the fix here. I’m glad it worked for ya. I set it there and kept it there. 

I also would like to add that you may want to use MSI Afterburner to control your GPU's 'wow!" 2 - 2080ti's whew! 

fans and Temp control because Alienware doesn't give us that feature for the gpu. When I'm playing a game I usually set the gpu fan to 50-55 and click apply. I don't use the auto fan feature or curves in MSI while gaming but the auto fan feature works equally good too, I just prefer my gpu fan at one speed and not throttling up and down. I find it to work good for me that way with my R9 and 2080 Super. When I'm done gaming I will then just go auto.

Not sure what you mean there. In MSI you can leave it set on auto and simply set a nice fan curve. I have mine running up hill very fast. Because I clock my 2080Ti to run around 1958MHz over clocked. So I need a ton of fan when I game. Here is a image to show you what I mean.

Thanks for sharing that info. What I meant is that I will go to auto when I’m done playing or take a break. I’m new to the pc gaming stuff but I found that my gpu stays at a good temp and never gets above 73c. I never used the fan curve settings in msi but I will give it a go. I guess the reason I like just using manual mode at 55 to 60 percent is because the gpu fan doesn’t throttle as much if that makes any sense. But thanks for sharing your settings.

I like you saw this update to bios 1.0.3 and it required a manual download.  Tonight it automatically downloaded and updated on its own.

how did you get your cpu temp that low?

The Dell Support Assist method worked fine.  It boots into safe-mode to install the bios, so no Windows running.
