Aurora R13, keeps rebooting itself
I recently got my Alienware Aurora on 12/22/2021 and out of the box when I booted up the system I had some strange issues occur, where the system rebooted itself 3 times while setting up windows 11, and would lose a connection with my display, I figured maybe my display port cable was damaged, so I went to the store to buy another cable, and it seem like it fixed the issue, but hours later, during gaming the system blacked out the monitors and in roughly 8s it reboots itself back to the Windows login screen. I figured maybe it was force downloading updates and restarting itself? But after the system started to reboot itself frequently I knew there was a bigger problem going on here.
When my PC rebooted itself for the 10th time, this time it went into an OS Recovery when rebooting, and when I tried to exit the OS Recovery it couldn't detect a bootable drive and got stuck in a loop, where it couldn't boot into windows. This is when I contacted Dell, and they had me reinstall Windows 11 and reset the BIOS back to default settings (which I didn't change anything in the BIOS) but it did fix the issue of not detecting a bootable drive.
Some hours later I figured maybe that was the issue? Nope, in roughly an hour the system rebooted itself AGAIN, so I contacted Dell, and this time they had me downgrade to Windows 10, and I figured maybe it's a Windows 11 bug? NOPE, some hours later it rebooted itself again, so I contacted dell, and this time they want me to send it out for repair, which is absolutely frustrating (considering I need this PC for work)
I've been trying everything to fix this issue, I reinstalled Windows 4x I changed TDR values and changed OC power settings, I reverted back to older Nvidia drivers, I ran various diagnostic tests and nothing seems to solve this issue, this is infuriating considering the premium price I paid for this system, I decked this out with max specs, expecting a beast of a machine, but what I got is nothing but broken. This is disrupting my work flow, cause I tend to have 10 different programs open for work, and having this system keep shutting down is affecting my job, cause I have to spend atleast 5-10minutes opening all the different programs, only for it to shutdown again and repeat this process... UGH.
I got this PC because my previous Alienware Area 51 R2 has been tanking on me, it was a great PC for 6 years with no issues up until now, so I decided to go with Dell again because I had a great experience with my previous Alienware, but ugh is this disappointing, The PC runs great when it's running, but this constant rebooting is killing me.
--------
Is there anyone that had this issue and resolved it? I would appreciate any help the community has
---------
Looking into the issue further, it seems like the TDR is failing and rebooting the system, but I can't seem to figure out what's causing it to fail, cause it can't seem to detect any hardware issues, so I'm curious if this is driver related, but I don't know where to look exactly, cause I tried everything.

See this thread for some options that worked for some users. There is supposed to be a new BIOS coming out for the R13 soon.

I updated the BIOS to 1.0.8 and it seems to have fixed the rebooting issue? It's been over 24 hours and my PC Hasn't rebooted, before it was rebooting every 1-10 hours. fingers crossed it was the BIOS causing the issue and not hardware

If anyone is still having a problem. Run the newest BIOS 1.17.0 released Dec 15th 2023, It finally solved the constant reboot after shutdown problem after several tries and sending the machine in twice so they could just pull the coin cell off the Mobo and tell me they repaired it (which never worked, and the issue always returned. Well apparently, they finally did something because 1.17.0 worked.

@HelpyHelperson I started having these issues about a month ago. Did the most recent bios update a few days ago and it's worse. It reboots in the middle of my games or really whenever it wants. when I woke up this morning and it's stuck on the loading screen again. So I don't know if this bios update really fixed it or not. I can't even get to the recovery screen.
