Aurora R13, latest BIOS causing Noctua fan issues

Has anyone got the newest BIOS update and had different fans just not spin up when the computer starts or comes back from sleep? On a fresh boot the system assist will come on and tell me said fan is not working and the fan is actually not spinning up at all. The diagnostic doesn't resolve the issue and it gives a QR code for support. If you exit and reboot most of the time the fan issue will resolve itself but can sometimes change to a different one. I had setup a push pull on the radiator with an extra fan and though that might be messing with the setup and removed it and still am having the issue.  I have not noticed them stopping while I am playing a game or when I have rebooted to resolve said issue, and the system is idle, or it's being used for light duty.

Just got a response stating that there is no support for my issue since the fans are third party. Makes no sense when the fans they put in the case were all different cfm ratings and also different brands and aren't branded by Dell or Alienware...

Original fans, or after market fans?

Noctua a12x25 pwm in chromax black. The radiator fan is the stock one.

That is likely the issue. They sometimes make changes in BIOS versions that affect aftermarket components.

Thats depressing since the fans that came with the build were all different cfm ratings... It works after I reboot but maybe it will be ironed out at some point.

Has nothing to do with the fans make... or anything like that. The top fan speed up issue is a known problem , and usually fixes itself after a few reboots or you can reseat the fan connecters on board, for a temp fix. The problem returns each time their is a BIOS update, change in components (Like ram upgrade, new GPU, etc...). Most Likely is a design flaw, that isn't easily fixed by BIOS update and such would require a re-design of the Motherboard to fix this issue.

Tech support advised me that it is the 3rd party fan causing the problem even though they could not elaborate on what exactly was done in the BIOS to all of the sudden make it not recognize the fans on initial boot. I downgraded to the last BIOS release and absolutely no issues now. Might just be my situation but that is what I was told.

This problem never occurred until the most recent BIOS update. Reseating the connectors makes no difference. I have used these fans since shortly after I got the system and gone through the past 2 BIOS updates with absolutely no issues with the fans until now. I rebooted my computer 10+ times and the issue would still be there because the Dell Suppport Assist diagnostic would start after the splash screen and inform me the fan is not working even though when the computer booted the fans actually were spinning.

I'm having an issue similar I have an R12 but my fans will randomly go to max speed and slow down then repeat where it's going to destroy my fans.

That could be temperature related. Try setting them at a constant speed and see if they still slow down or speed up.

Same issue here, what BIOS version are you using that works with those Noctuas?

Notice how I have a 4.99ghz overclock profile in my defaults and everything is on balanced. That 4.99ghz OC only kicks in when I start my game/Load because my game is set to High Performance.

Create a Manual Thermal Offset Profile and not Curves. Top Fan 50% Front Fan 49% save and name that profile then tell AWCC Thermal Profile to run that when you start your game.

Keep your Default Profiles on Thermal Balanced and Power Balanced. when not playing games.

A proper AWCC setup. IMO.

In AWCC you have to choose what your Thermal profile where to run that profile. For example go to fusion then go to the Thermal icon then start with Balanced click the paper clip to highlight it then a Library screen will appear then choose what you want to use that balance profile, I choose the system/monitor then click ok. If you made a thermal profile for your fans and named games fans then you would have to go in this thermal profile and tell AWCC to use that profile for your games.

My DCS Fans gaming thermal offset profile only allpies to when I start my game.
