Aurora R13, new, random reboots, fan noise, display issue
New to the forum, so unsure how it works. If I need to list each question separate, I will edit post and do so. Some of my issues I have searched on the board for and still am.
I just received a new Aurora R13 (specs below). I am having a fair amount of problems and figured prior to contacting support, I would see if its stuff I can handle.
SPECS AURORA R13:
12th Gen i9-12900KF Water Cooled, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU, 32GB DDR5, Windows 11, Dual Monitors
Operating temps: CPU 75-80. GPU 80.
MY ISSUES:
-Randomly will reboot itself.
-Randomly mouse will stop working / freeze for a second or two. Mouse is corded not wireless.
-Rotating displays. Has dual monitors. One is vertical. At times the vertical one, the display will revert to horizontal on its own.
-Rear Fan: Extremely loud when it kicks to high speed. Is there a replacement fan I can buy that is quieter? When the fan does kick to high speed, we do check temps and everything is usually the same temps as above(under specs). Just super loud.
I was going to do a fresh install of windows on the system and ditch Windows 11 and go back to Windows 10. Figured, start fresh and have the version I want and maybe some of the buggy ness with the system goes away. My concern on that though, is that, if I do a fresh install of Windows 10, do I violate my warranty on the system? I did purchase the Premium Support Plus Onsite Service Warranty. I love the system, but some of the above issues are a bit concerning for only using it a few days.
Thanks for any insight

Do you know what BIOS version you currently have installed on the R13?

When you mention operating temps, what is being done? Gaming? Productivity? Basic web browsing?

Since this is a brand new machine I would contact @DELL-Cares for further assistance, since you are experiencing multiple issues.

It does not hurt, but they are designed to work out of the box without any issues.
It's possible some troubleshooting with a support agent can fix your stability issues.

That's pretty high temps for gaming.

I think I might just do that, but do you think it would hurt if I just try a new fresh install of windows or wait to see what they say?

OH. Did not know. Never had a liquid cooled machine, so unsure how to see if its working. I did read a few people saying the liquid cooler was not working when I was looking at buying on of these. Perhaps I should look to see how to make sure it is working correctly just to be sure.

Those temps are crazy for a 3060Ti . . . unless "Operating" means "Idle" and 80 means Fahrenheit
What task(s) are being preformed when the radiator fan kicks into high speed . . . and what is the CPU temp (in centigrade) when this happens?

Temps are in Celsius.
Used only for gaming.

Do you have a custom fan curve built in AWCC?

Sorry on the delayed response. No. No custom fan curve. Everything is set to default automatic settings. Have not touched anything since out of box setting wise, with the exception of setting up monitors and changing lighting settings. Everything is same.

Hi RMFJ
Regarding your Reboots, this sounds like a Bios problem and would try both of their current bios updates they recommend. Make sure you have any overclocking turned off in Bios before trying a Bios update.
The mouse problem etc, I've had that and was sorted with the Bios change.
Rotating displays, sounds like a problem with in Windows 11 itself, have a fiddle with in "Display Settings". Make sure the correct monitor is selected for main monitor, correct refresh rates per monitor. Failing that change you Display port cables.
Don't go back to windows 10.
Also don't use the "very" latest Nvidia driver, it's causing crashing in games, it draws less power and runs the GPU cooler, but the driver before is the one you need if updating to latest drivers. (Nvidia Drivers from Nvidia site)
Get the above issues sorted and you will with a bit of time, then maybe look at alternative cooling options.
Good luck with the R13 it's a great system.
