So, you switched BIOS to AHCI before install, right?
Used Media-Creation installer from Microsoft.com ? (non Dell)
You did NOT install any Intel-RST nonsense ?

Did you install it via m2 or pcie?

And did you remember to disconnect all other drives when installing win10

I am new to this. I just checked in bios and it was RAID but I changed it to AHCI. My system boot properly but the speeds are the same. Should I format it again? Am I able to check if it was Switched to AHCI somehow?

Before I have installed Windows in to my new disk I have plugged it in to the pci express to m.2 adapter as the main slot was in use. I did test and the performance was the same.

Any Ideas what I should do next? I am really new to nowadays technology ...

Hi, Yes I am using m.2 port for main partition.

I also removed all disks before Windows installation.

I thought that my motherboard might be outdated

If you forced the change from RAID to AHCI in BIOS without doing anything else, you would have failed to boot Windows 10 because there's no AHCI driver set up previously. Can you go back to BIOS and reconfirm that the settings took effect and it's AHCI now?

Hopefully you didn't install the Intel rapid storage tech drivers, which is known to cause freezing and stuttering in the aurora and xps 8930 when installed in systems with an nvme boot instead of sata + intel optane drive boot.

You said you did the media creation from Microsoft's website. Did you mean that you reinstalled Win10? If yes, did you do it before or after you changed the BIOS settings?

If you don't have important data on that disk yet, you can format it clean and reinstall Win10. This time with BIOS set to AHCI already.

I just reinstalled My windows 10 with AHci setted up in my BIOS:

I removed all other disks before windows installation.

I Have got only standard drivers on my computer:

The results of speed test are the same but I also made test for my old 256mb Toshiba NVME which I got with my system. I connected it to pci express using m.2 adapter and readings are much higher :

I have no idea where might be the problem with Western Digital disk.

Then there's probably an issue with the firmware on the SSD controller or SSD NAND. Best to contact WD support for this.

Thank you guys for all advice's. Unfortunately I got faulty product and I need to return it. It seem to work the same, slow speed at other devices too so I need to return it.
