@VoIDxXxX  "On the Alienware Aurora R8 bios 1.0.7 is it possible to upgrade to an i9 9900k. "

Yes, you're good.  No BIOs update required.  The R8 came out to offer the 9th gen chips.  The BIOs update is the only difference from the R7.

The VRM heatsink comes stock regardless of which class processor your PC originally shipped with, so you can disregard the comment in the reddit post (that applied to R6).

Judging by the site here and here, it can be upgraded to that CPU. But that is assuming the BIOS will recognize it.

EDIT: This information per Chris M the moderator and a big thanks to Chris for the update.

The Dell OEM PTJR2 (Intel i9-9900K (Coffee Lake-S, 8 core/16 thread, 95w, 16MB cache, FSB 2667MHz, 3.60GHz up to 4.70GHz) was validated for the Aurora R8. It shows that on the internal Aurora R8 SPMD (Spare Parts Master Database).
