Aurora R9, GeForce RTX 2070 Super, manufacturer?

Dell uses OEM versions of various hardware such as video cards. Tech support would usually have the data and since they have specified it as MSI, it would be a safe bet. That is also why Dell strongly suggests that you use the Dell drivers for video cards rather than those supplied by NVidia for instance.

I was under the assumption they should be nvidia Geforce rtx 2070 and 2080 super founders edition cards. since that's what there advertising on there the dell site in all the pics, made by nvidia themselves. Anyways there most like made by PNY or MSI since those are the only 2 dell has on there site in the super category and most likely there first option for card is the PNY one with the single blower and the msi ones have 2 or 3 fans and noticeably different. The current turing gen (RTX) GPUs use double fan open air FE cards.  The prior pascal gen used a single fan blower FE shroud. Dell also sold the rebranded MSI aeros (ie with the MSI aero shroud minus the MSI lettering) for the 10-series cards that it sells/sold with the Aurora.  

Ah ok, good to know. it was hard to find any benchmarks out there for the pny cards but found a couple that i think are the pny cards cause one is a dell pc and the other they used the pny benchmark code, they bench marked pretty good between 138-140 % out of the 2080 super blower style. sorry could't really match the 2070 super on there built by pny. went through a few pages and didn't see any data on that specific card but probably bench around the 119-122%range. So i guess there not to bad lol

FE cards will cause hot air recirculating problem in the chassis. That’s why blower style cards are used.

so im confused lol, are you saying they have 2 fans and arent the blower style? I'm getting mine tomorrow so i guess i will see soon.

No, Dell doesn't use FE cards in the Aurora.  They use single fan non-FE blower cards.

It is not a FE card as far as I can see and it is definitely a blower type card as it only has one fan. Along with the single fan it has a plastic/transparent piece where you can see inside the card itself (if that helps) thus it does not match the PNY cards either.

Oh, sorry, I thought someone had answered your question.  You have an MSI Aero rebrand for Dell.  The 6 sided lopsided hexagon clear plastic piece, next to the grooved circle with 5 lines (usually grey/black coloring inside the lines) heading away from the blower fan, is a uniquely Aero design.  The otherwise all black, or all back with green, is the coloring Dell OEM gpus by MSI get. Most of them also lose the blackplate. The clear plastic is useful to see if you have dust bunnies on the end of the heatsink. 

so why does dell only sell the pny model and the msi model with the 3 fans that they call a trio or something like that and dont show the msi aero one at all. So confusing lol. i reached out to dell to get the part# of my 2080 super coming, so hopefully that will help.

ya its a massive card lol. they just emailed me back this part# N4MRF on my video card and it does not help at. Emailed them back to be a little more specific lol

They just emailed me back and said it could be msi or pny card and could not tell me from the part# they had, i dont think they actually checked my build sheet and just agreeing with me on the names of gpu im giving them lol

Yea but not everything is compatible with the aurora.  The triple fan is incompatible, it's too big to fit.

Just got mine and checked it out and looks just like the msi 2080 super blower version but i have a circuit board showing which i thought was only on the TI's ? waiting on my computer to finish setting up to check any further.
