Aurora R9, upgrade to Intel i9-10980XE?
Hey everyone,
I have an Aurora R9 Desktop with the standard Intel Core i7 9th Gen and I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to an Intel Core i9-10980XE? I have upgraded my graphics card to a 2080 Ti before and also upgraded my RAM to 32GB as well as increasing my SSD. But have never replaced a processor and have no idea where to begin. Is it even possible with my machine?

Also 10980xe has been sold out everywhere since it's paper "release" last nov.

Max cpu upgrade for the R9 is a 9900ks.

Please note the rolling on floor laughing smileys by @Anonymous because it's clearly a joke and he's near the breaking point because he's been waiting for one since the days when the world was normal.
Do not buy a 10980XE or any HEDT (socket 2066) to replace your Aurora. I think in the long run, there's no support for HEDT in Dell's Alienware product line anyways as they've axed the Area 51.
If you did get your hands on a 10980XE, give @Anonymous a direct message. Also, post it on Reddit with title "I messed up didn't I?" There was a guy 2 weeks ago posting a pic him holding a 3950X over a Threadripper motherboard socket.
