Kaspersky and AWCC incompatible on Aurora R11

So I just wanted to post some updated info on how to get the AWCC to work with Kaspersky antivirus software.

Dell informed me of a known incompatibility between these two software programs and the only solution is to uninstall Kaspersky AV. Well, that isn't the real solution! After multiple communications with Kaspersky tech support and trying different options. This one worked for me so far! My computer is only 2 weeks old.

If you add these items to the trusted applications within Kaspersky it will allow AWCC to work as intended. Sometimes it takes a bit for the AWCC to recognize the Thermal and OCC settings but it usually only takes a couple minutes to acknowledge that info.

I HTH another user in my situation with an R11 system.

Recent updates on this issue!

Each time I perform a Windows update; I run into a problem with the AWCC not working properly again.

I did find a solution.....

After a Windows update, I will typically get an alert that AWCC needs to install OC controls again. Go through this process until you see the screen to Uninstall or Cancel the install. Select "Uninstall"

When that is finished; restart the computer.

Open AWCC again and it should alert you to install OC Controls. Install OC Controls now. When complete. Restart the computer.

After it restarts; Open AWCC again. It may give some alerts but it should work properly now.

I have to repeat the OC Control uninstall and reinstall after each Windows update; for some reason.

Again, I HTH others with a system setup like mine! Please leave feedback and ask questions.
