R10 - De-bloat the bloat
To get my system running good with minimal stutters and mouse freezes and a better gaming experience this is what I did to turn-off some of the bloatware that came with my R10.
In Services -
Disable SupportAssist
Disable SupportAssist Remediation
Disable Dell Hardware Support
Disable the three DellDataVault services
Disable Alienware Digital Delivery Services
Optional: Disable AWCC-Service
Note: If you use Ryzen Master to set Overclocking i.e. PBO/Auto/Manual you don't really need Alienware Command Center once your have your lighting and thermals set. If need to change lighting just kick-off the AWCC Service to run the command Center again.
In the C:\Program Files\Dell\DellDataVault -
Rename all executables .exe files in the DellDataVault with a .off at the end example - DDVDataCollector.exe.off
In Task Scheduler -
Disable the task: "Dell SupportAssistAgent AutoUpdate"
Update to the latest & greatest Windows version 20H2.
Have not had too many issues with this Windows 10 release. What I like about it is that it now puts all device drivers (including BIOS) updates as "optional" rather than just installing without the user's consent.
P.S.
In my opinion, whatever you do, don't use support Assist to update the BIOS!!!
I would copy the BIOS to a thumb drive and use BIOS Flash utility (F-12 on startup) or better yet when DELL pushes BIOS updates to Windows and if your on Windows 10 Release 20H2 you will see that BIOS update under "optional" updates... What's great about doing through Windows update is that it is downloaded in capsule format and installed on re-boot.
