Aurora R9, swapping the NVMe boot drive
Alienware Aurora R9
Hi all,
We have cloned a new NVMe drive to swap out with the existing boot drive in our Alienware Aurora R9. Are there any BIOS settings that will need to be changed, or can we simply swap the new drive for the old?

When you do it that way, you are not really allowed to change any BIOS options (especially NOT the RAID/AHCI setting).

I cloned my NVMe with Macrium Reflect and just swapped it in. I didn't change anything and a year later I have had no problems.
