Alienware 17 (mid 2013) some hot-keys not working

My Alienware laptop has a WiFi symbol on the F2 key which I am pretty sure it should turn the WiFi on or off when you press FN+F2, however I do not get any response at all.

Some hotkeys do work, such as, pressing FN+the left or right arrow keys towards the bottom right on the keyboard to change the brightness.

Any idea why the FN+(F2 with the WiFi symbol), doesn't work?

Is there a service that maybe I have turned off or an application,such as the OSD that I need to install or re-install?
