Alienware Aurora Desktop - Hardware and Cable Replacement part #s

I have an Aurora Desktop purchased in 01/2010 and delivered 02/2011.

Issue is that a Mouse (small rodent) got into the system, (stop laughing etc.. really a mouse) and got ahold of several cables. I am having a hard time in finding part #s for some of the cables and boards. I have already spent 6+ hours with Customer Service, Tech support, Etc... and only able to get #s for only 1 of the 4 items needed. Appearntly there is some info that not readily availible to Support. Any suggestions?

Since most of the boards are vertical, they probably didn't get damaged unless something got shorted out.

Do you know how to solder, use heat-shrink, and use an ohm/volt meter?

Start posting pictures. These can be used by us to survey the damage, start repairs, and also serve as a reference to Dell Support if you need to replace something.

I wonder how he got inside? Maybe the lower-front? Eventually, this issue will need attention so it doesn't happen again. They are attracted to the electricity and heat.

TPRowe17189,

Tesla1856 was correct as usual. We need to see pictures to try to figure out what parts you might need.

Ok Guys maybe I should have said that I know exactly what I need, But nobody at Alein doesn,t seem to beable to cross referrence the part numbers and thier not listed any where (according to them); Except maybe the assembly man in the plant.

As a matter of fact I have done searches for the Item/part no.s as listed on my delivery / paccking slip on Deel and Alein and none have croos referrenced as yet. And thats only a year old.The closes I've come is the Upper I/O Broard and cable and that come from the forums.

Go figure that a mouse no bigger than your little finger could get inside the system, much less eat some much cable. If this was 10 years ago I'd just do as Tesla suggest. Rewire all the the pin sets. It would be fairly easy but my eyes and hands aren't what they whem I still had my 2m cert for broard work.

Give me a bit and I'll repost with more info.

From your invoice, list the part numbers you think you need.

ERGO the problem non of the parts I need are acually in the invoice. The base system system is listed as a single item number, invoice doesn,t carry the #s for the individual standard components. It only carrys the mods/upgrades requested.

Heres the System configurations, etc....Purchased January last year -  Aurora Destop (Base item 3 224-6493)

Intel Core i7 920 (2.66GHz, 8mb cache)

6GB Triple Channel 1333MHz DDR3

640 GB-SATA-II 3GB/s 7200 RPM, 16MB Cache HDD

Aleinware High-Performance Liquid Cooling

ATI Radeon HD 5770, 1GB Cache

1525 Network Card

Multimedia TV Tuner TVT9+Remote

DVD/CD Double Layer Burner

What I need is the upper I/O Broad and cables, Memory Fan and cable, Front Bezel Broad and cable, and the MB-MIO cable.

Outside of the upper IO no 1 has able to clearify for ordering. Soo... any help?
